You’ve probably heard the expression ” You are what you eat”. But we need to take that a step further to say ‘Your health is affected by what you eat.’ While prescribed medications can be key to curing an illness or preventing it from progressing, what we eat can, many times, do the same thing or at the very least compliment the medication. Research is clear, our dietary habits influence disease risk from cardiovascular disease to diabetes to hypertension. In some case’s certain foods trigger a chronic health condition, others offer strong medicinal and protective qualities. What to eat, what to limit and how to make the choices and changes to best improve your health. Join us as we explore a new way to look at the food we eat and how to eat for the “health of it.”
