Deconditioning is the decline in functional ability due to inactivity. It has been recognized as the cause of many changes thought to be due to disease or aging. Due to the lockdown, even people who have not become sick from COVID-19 are suffering from deconditioning, both physical and mental. This results in loss of optimal health and increases vulnerability to other illnesses. In this session we will focus on methods of regaining resilience by reconditioning ourselves and think about how we can bring these concepts to our communities.
